Mexico - Skyline

Mxskyline

Mexico - World Trade Center

Wtc

This is the World Trade Center building in Mexico City.  Is there a WTC building in Paris? Or something equivalent?

Mexico - Panteón Civil

panteón civil
we do have a 'roundhose of the illustrious men' with many important characters, but this a civil cemetery in Iztapalapa [east of the city], that looks pretty much like any other cemetery in Mexico, with many crosses apparently in no order, and many little chapels that look like little houses for richer families, and a bunch of flowers and probably empty if it's not november 2nd. [death day].

Mexico - Guimard

Guimard dans Mexico
This is another example of a Paris-Mexico exchange. One of Bellas Artes metro station's entrance is a copy of a Guimard station's entrance in Paris. I'm not sure, but I think in Paris you have a copy of the entrance to a mexican metro station.

Mexico - Carrusel

Carrusel1
This one is at "La Feria", one of the two largest amusement parks in this city, but it's easy to find carrousels -albeit smaller ones- all over Mexico.

Mexico - Taxis

taxis ecológicos libres
Mexico city is full of this green VW taxis. They are green because they're supposed to be ecological (new ones are white and red) and the letter L on the license plate stands for libre [free], which means you can catch them anywhere on the street, rather than at a taxi stand (those have an S).

Mexico - bolero

Bolero
Although they're more easily found in or near parks, shoe shiners can still be found in the most important avenues of this city...

Mexico - Tianguis

tianguis
this is an open air market. you can buy almost anything there, but mostly fruits and vegetables. we call it tianguis [with no translation] or mercado sobre ruedas [market on wheels] because they move every day and you know which day of the week they are around your neighborhood.
